Conservative Cosmetic Dentistry

The cosmetic dentistry that is performed in our office follows a principle of doing the least to achieve the desired result. This means incorporating a wide range of services such as recontouring, bonding, minor tooth movement, very thin porcelain veneers, teeth whitening etc. This type of cosmetic dentistry takes into mind that the more natural tooth that is preserved, the greater the health and longevity of your teeth. An additional benefit is that conservative cosmetic dentistry is usually much less expensive than the more common type of cosmetic dentistry that is performed in general.

'Invisible' Braces

Using the latest current technology we are able to straighten and reposition teeth using virtually invisible methods. We also can make minor cosmetic corrections using just a retainer.

Invisalign® is a remarkable system of invisible aligners that help straighten teeth comfortably without metal bands, brackets or wires. The pieces are easily removable so you can eat, drink, brush and floss. Best of all, no one will know you’re wearing Invisalign® aligners unless you tell them.

Dental Anxiety Reduction and Sedation

Unfortunately for some of us the dental office can be such an uncomfortable place that we cannot seek the care that we need. This often leads to a downward spiral in our oral health and our worst fears become realized. This does not need to happen. Modern pharmacology lets us safely sedate patients so that the anxiety is gone and often a gentle sleep as achieved. What level and what type of sedation are dependent on the patient of course. We start as basic as Nitrous Oxide and can continue in strength until you are absolutely comfortable.

Sleep Apnea and Snoring Treatments

Obstructive sleep apnea is a serious medical condition that is growing in prevalence today. Oral appliances are now officially recognized as frontline therapy for sleep apnea treatment. Since sleep apnea is a medical condition, it needs to be diagnosed by a medical doctor and treated in tandem with them. Our office facilitates that and will work with medical insurance to obtain benefits for your sleep apnea treatment.

Snoring and sleep apnea are often related and we can also offer proven non-surgical snoring treatment. An often overlooked but EXTREMELY important aspect of snoring treatment is to make sure that the patient does not have the more serious sleep apnea. Our office has the protocol to do this and we have invested in the proper equipment.

In addition Dr. Byun is a member of both the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
